Come join our pack!As a Sanitation Supervisor at Stella & Chewy's, you'll be responsible for overseeing all sanitation activities within the pet food manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety protocols. The Sanitation Supervisor ensures the plant maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic environment that supports the production of high-quality pet food. Further, the Sanitation Supervisor leads a team of sanitation personnel, develops cleaning schedules, and coordinates with quality assurance and production teams to prevent contamination and maintain operational efficiency.Essential Functions include the following:Ensure proper Good Manufacturing Practices are followed by all sanitation employeesEnsure Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures are FollowedWork with Quality Assurance to insure Pre-Operational Inspection issues are addressedDevelop/validate cleaning proceduresSet up and implement Master Sanitation ScheduleOrder and monitor cleaning supplies to ensure quality, safety and cost effectivenessMonitor and record chemical usageEnsure compliance with industry standardsSupervise the sanitation staff to ensure thorough understanding and application of sanitation and safety requirements including but not limited to training and developmentCommunicating with other departments to prioritize the sanitation schedule.Work within the Sanitation Department as a functioning team member performing duties assigned to SanitationComplete employee reviews for sanitation employeesEnsure proper staffing needs are met to ensure sanitation is completed in a timely manorComplete the daily completion reports, master sanitation schedule, SSOP reviews and all associated paperwork.Communicate any issues with the proper managers and supervisorsEnsure proper safety procedures are followed by all sanitation employees as set forth by Stella & Chewy's.Maintaining a safe work environment for the team and making the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager aware of any equipment or personnel safety issues.RequirementsAssociate's Degree2+ years' experience in a plant/sanitation supervisory capacityExceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilitiesKnowledge of sanitation chemicals and environmental swabbing practices and proceduresBasic math and computer skills requiredThe ability to communicate and understand verbal directions effectively and efficiently in the English language, both verbal and written.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status, or any other status protected by law.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the person occupying this position.
