Sanitation Team Leader, Overnight, Deli - Lakeland | Publix Super Markets, Inc.Sanitation Team Leader, Overnight, Deli - LakelandLakeland, FLJob DescriptionPerforming tasks in the work area on a daily basis within the team including:Being an on-the-floor work participant with associatesCovering for unplanned absences and vacationsUnderstanding and maintaining all department reports and proceduresCoordinating breaks and lunch schedulesOverseeing and understanding the maintenance of equipment, PM's and work ordersAssisting managers with scheduling of associatesUnderstanding production and ability to execute department requirementsMaintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Promoting and enforcing quality and food safety standardsBeing a role model for associatesPlanning and conducting job skill training for all associates including writing Skill Breakdown Sheets (SBSs) and conducting Job Instruction Training (JIT)Leading and driving improvement of plant operationsAnalyzing and understanding KPI's and dataPerforming the day to day tasks and responsibilities of the Department Manager/Assistant Department Manager in their absence, such as production scheduling and planningAnd other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or its equivalentMust be at least 18 years oldMust be able to learn and perform all positions in the departmentMust be able to understand plant policies, practices, procedures, and requirementsMust be able to plan, organize and follow-through on assignmentsMust be able to obtain a forklift license and operate a forkliftMust be able to lift in excess of 50 poundsMust be willing to travel to any specialized trainingMust have a high level of maturity, discretion, tact and judgmentMust have good computer and software skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and WordMust have thorough knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) programMust be able to use industrial strength chemicalsMust have basic mechanical skillsMust be able to climb laddersMust demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Must demonstrate safe working habitsMust demonstrate leadership skillsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hoursMust have excellent attendance and punctualityMust be willing to assist other team members in other areasMust be able to work efficiently with little or no supervisionMust be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructionsMust possess basic math skillsMust be able to communicate effectivelyMust show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work andA commitment to Publix and our mission.Preferred QualificationsSome college coursework in Business, Engineering, and/or Food ScienceDepartment experience related to this positionHours of Work5:00pm - 1:30am; Rotating daysWork EnvironmentTemperatures range from below 32 to 90+ degrees.Frequency of PayWeeklyMinimum Base Pay24.50Maximum Base Pay33.80Potential Annual Base Pay50,960 - 70,304Year End BonusTo reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.Other Compensation InformationWeekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 am Saturday through 11:59 pm Sunday.
