Job description
Sanitation TechnicianThe Sanitation Technician oversees keeping every area of the building clean and in orderly condition.How You Will ContributeClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.Gather and empty trash and recycling binsResponsible for the overall cleanliness of the building including Office, Labs and PlantService, clean, and supply restrooms, locker rooms, kitchens and Fitness RoomClean and dust furniture and fixturesWill be responsible for cleaning offices and break rooms in Office, Production and Lab areasClean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleanersDust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment in the office areaCheck electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not createdMove heavy furniture and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucksNotify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs to building operating systemsRemove snow from sidewalks using snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals as needed, around regularly scheduled cleanup.Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, etc. to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetingsClean sinks in kitchens and break rooms and wash any dishes, load dishwashersWill participate in the recycling program by breaking down corrugated packaging and storing for disposalWill accurately complete daily checklists and documentation for assigned work areaSkills and RequirementsHigh School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) PreferredTrained in GMP's – able to be trainedMust be able to follow directions and perform work duties with limited supervisionAttention to detail a mustMust wear steel-toed shoes, safety goggles and a mask as necessaryBe constantly aware of chemicals and appropriate safety requirements and follow through with safety stepsAble to be trained to drive a forkliftStarting Pay: $20/HR + $1000 Sign on Bonus1st shift: Monday - Friday 6a-2:30pThe actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
