Sanitation TechnicianAramark Facilities Management is hiring Sanitation Technicians to support a food production facility in Newport News, VA at High Liner Foods. This is a hands-on cleaning role responsible for keeping production equipment and facility areas clean, safe, and compliant with food safety standards. You will spend your shift cleaning machinery, production spaces, and surfaces using power washers and approved cleaning chemicals. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in custodial, janitorial, warehouse, or industrial cleaning environments who are looking for steady, daytime work. The position focuses on cleaning and sanitizing equipment, production areas, and facility spaces to meet strict food safety standards. This is a hands-on, physically active role in a structured environment where safety and consistency matter. Important: This role involves working in a seafood plant where exposure to seafood and seafood-related allergens may occur. Individuals with seafood allergies should consider this work environment before applying.Pay & Schedule: $17.00 starting off with a raise on your 90 day mark! Night shift 11p-7a is the schedule most nights. Consistent, full-time hours.Job Responsibilities:Perform industrial cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, facility areas, and/or shipping and receiving areasOperate power washers, pressure washers, and cleaning equipmentApply cleaning chemicals and sanitizers following safety guidelinesWash delivery trailers (similar to warehouse or fleet cleaning work)Must be able to stand/walk, push/pull for 8 hours (or duration of the shift)Must be able to lift 50 lbs comfortablyMay be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment that covers the head and/or faceFood Safety & Compliance:Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and sanitation proceduresWear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all timesWork within a standards-based environment with routine inspections and auditsFollow detailed cleaning checklists and processesDaily work expectations include performing repetitive cleaning tasks with consistency and attention to detailQualifications:Demonstrated ability to follow existing procedures to perform routine tasksCourteous mannerFlexible approach to hours and duties
