Sanitation Technician (Night Shift) - Personal de limpieza (Turno nocturno)As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, biosecurity, and operational efficiency of our processing facilities. Your efforts directly support our mission to produce safe, high-quality eggs and ensure compliance with food safety standards. This role is essential to maintaining daily operations, preparing the facility for continuous production, and performing basic preventive maintenance tasks.Essential Job FunctionsAssist in the packaging and stacking of eggs during production hoursClean processing machines and surrounding areas during downtime using approved safety procedures (e.g., Lockout/Tagout)Sanitize processing areas using high-pressure water hoses and approved cleaning chemicalsTransport waste to disposal areas and maintain cleanliness of work zonesFollow biosecurity and sanitation protocols strictlyPerform daily and deep-cleaning tasks as assignedConduct basic preventive maintenance checks and tasks on equipmentIdentify and report potential maintenance issues to supervisorsComply with all company policies, including food safety, safety, and animal welfare standardsOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Familiarity with sanitation procedures and cleaning chemicalsBasic mechanical aptitude to clean, reset, and perform minor maintenance on equipmentUnderstanding of basic preventive maintenance principles and practicesAbility to work independently and follow detailed proceduresStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and equipment carePhysical stamina to lift, carry, and stand for long periodsAbility to communicate effectively with team members and supervisorsBasic troubleshooting skills for common equipment issuesRequired QualificationsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAvailability to work weekends and holidays as neededStrong work ethic and dependable attendanceBasic understanding of preventive maintenance conceptsPreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience in sanitation or food production environmentsKnowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety proceduresBilingual in Spanish and EnglishWork EnvironmentThe work environment primarily consists of indoor activities within a food processing plant. Employees can expect exposure to wet and humid conditions, as well as various cleaning chemicals used in sanitation processes. The job involves regular physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday. To ensure safety, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, including gloves, eye protection, and waterproof gear.
