We want to hear about your PASSION, your STORY, and how your EXPERTISE can help us shape the future of dairy.From your PASSION to oursLactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sanitation Operator III based in Nampa, ID.RequirementsThe Sanitation Technician II works independently to disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment to meet strict food safety standards. This role is responsible for safely handling sanitation chemicals, verifying cleaning effectiveness, and ensuring all assigned areas are fully sanitized to prevent contamination and support safe food production.From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Disassemble production lines and equipment for thorough cleaning and sanitationPerform cleaning and sanitizing using approved procedures, tools, and chemicalsConduct verification activities (including swabbing) to confirm sanitation effectivenessReassemble equipment correctly and prepare lines for on-time production startupInspect equipment and work areas to ensure they meet food safety standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSafely handle and apply caustic and acidic cleaning chemicals in accordance with proceduresCommunicate issues that impact safety, quality, or production to supervisorsWork with team members to support efficient sanitation and production flowTake action when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observedAttend required meetings and training sessionsPerform other duties as assignedFrom your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Education· High School Diploma or completion of GED preferred by not required.Experience• 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing, sanitation, or industrial cleaning environments preferred• Experience working with cleaning chemicals, PPE, or sanitation equipment strongly preferred• Experience in physically demanding or repetitive work environments is a plusSpecialized Knowledge· Basic knowledge of chemical handling, dilution, or sanitation procedures (SDS, labels, PPE).· Familiarity with CIP/COP or foaming/spray sanitation processes a plus.Skills / Abilities• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned sanitation areas• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work thoroughly (not cutting corners)• Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks for extended periods• Reliable attendance and ability to consistently show up on time• Ability to recognize and address cleanliness, safety, or quality issues• Clear communication with team members and supervisors• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team• Ability to safely handle hazardous cleaning chemicals and follow established safety procedures• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and addressing unsafe conditionsAt Lactalis, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Program with a variety of affordable benefits and coverage options.
