Job description
Sanitation TechnicianGeneral Purpose: Proper sanitation of machinery and equipment throughout production room.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Properly clean, wash and sanitize RMC, extruder, curd tables, COP tanks and moldsClean and sanitize drainsComplete drain logsClean outside of starter and product tanksClean and foam floors as neededClean brine surge tanks whenever requiredInspect PPE used for cleaning and report or replace any damaged equipmentComplete MS work order and MS logs accurately and in a timely mannerComplete special cleaning projects i.e. passivation of equipmentFill portable foamers with correct chemicalsFill secondary chemical jugs with correct chemicals dailyEnsure all chemical containers have proper and legible labels on themWeigh, document and dispose of garbage cheeseMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesDedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arriveFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsExhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgmentAdhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformityAttend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP planEnsure that all documentation is done correctly and turned in promptlyThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
