We have deep roots in our communities, employing more than 100 certified millers, supporting thousands of local jobs and contributing billions of dollars to local economies.The Role:The Sanitation Utility will follow the Ardent Mills core values of Trust, Serving, Simplicity and SafetyThe Sanitation Utility is responsible for general sanitation duties including the disassembly, cleaning/sanitation and reassembly of processing equipmentMust be able to work in various conditions and different heightsMust be able to read, follow and retain detailed instructions for numerous different tasks and maintain records according to instructionsMust be mindful at all times of personal safety and the safety of those working in the same area and adhere to all safety rules at all timesMust keep food safety in mind at all times while performing cleaning proceduresAble to cross-train for assistance in other departments as neededPrincipal Accountabilities:General labor performing tasks such as vacuuming, brushing, sweeping, scraping, scrubbing and washing of floors, walls, racks and equipment.Process equipment cleaning. Break down and re-assemble.Fill out accurate and detailed paperworkLight maintenance activities involving rollstands, filters, sifters, and other processing equipment.Other duties as assigned.Essential Functions/Requirements:Work will be done primarily in a plant atmosphere.Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. is requiredAble to perform physical labor of cleaning and to work all day on feet on both dry and wet surfacesAble to work efficiently while being cautious and careful not to create hazards which could endanger self or othersGood work ethic with high personal standards for cleanlinessAlert and willing to learn a wide variety of cleaning tasksEducation:High School Diploma or GEDSkills:Strong verbal and written communication skillsModerate level of mechanical skillsPossess curiosity and always look for ways to improve proceduresFlexibility regarding work hoursAble to occasionally be involved on different shiftsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator)Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:Heat/Cold temperatures (inclement weather)Indoor/Outdoor environmentDusty environmentNoisy environmentFrequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processesElevated PlacesMust pass a physical abilities test with or without reasonable accommodation with the ability to:Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach or lift at shoulder level, above shoulder level, and below shoulder levelFrequently climb stairs and/or laddersOccasionally lift up-to 55 poundsPull a maximum force of 210 ft./lbs.Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.This position is based at an Ardent Mills production facility and requires regular on-site presence to perform the essential functions of the role. Work schedules may vary based on business and operational needs and could include shift work, overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities where applicable.Location: Wichita KSAddress: 715 East 13th Street, Wichita KS, 67214Employment Type: Full timeAdditional Information:Competitive Compensation: We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate's unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved.
