Our drive for quality, authenticity, and innovation compels us to deliver exceptional products that celebrate the diverse cultures and tastes of our customers.The primary purpose of Sanitation Associate/Sanitor is to ensure all production areas and production equipment are cleaned, sanitized and ready for use.Job Responsibilities:Observes all safety rules and regulationsIdentifies and addresses product and processing problems in a timely manner and escalates issues to Sanitation Lead if resolution requires it.Maintains a safe and clean work environment throughout the plant, according to GMP and Safety GuidelinesPrepares areas to be cleaned by setting up safety equipment and organizing suppliesDisassembles, cleans, and sanitizes all production equipment in a timely mannerCleans floors and walls of the production area to maintain cleanlinessMust be able to safely operate and understands proper machine operating and adjusting proceduresMonitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as neededWorks to understand overall impact of his/her job on team productivity and plant profitability, maintains high level of personal productivity and contributes suggestions for work process improvements.Required Skills/Abilities:Three (3) years of (food manufacturing) sanitation experienceBilingual English-Spanish is a plusAble to work off-shifts when necessary.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to use independent reasoning and judgment.Ability to communicate with all levels of plant personnel (written and verbally).Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.Physical Requirements:Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basisMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facilityHearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirementsWorks in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protectionVision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perceptionAble to work a multi shift environmentWill be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activitiesExposed to cold/ heat/ humidityM-TH 2PM-12:30 AM
