Job description
Saw OperatorWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating industrial saw equipment to cut metal bar stock to precise specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Operate band saws and other cutting equipment to process metal bar materialsRead and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measuring toolsMeasure and verify material dimensions to ensure accurate cutsLoad and unload materials safely using overhead crane or forklift when neededInspect finished materials for quality and accuracyMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all company safety procedures and PPE requirementsPerform basic machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptlyWork closely with production and warehouse teams to meet deadlinesQualifications:Previous manufacturing or saw operation experience preferredAbility to read tape measures and use precision measuring toolsForklift and overhead crane experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsReliable transportation and strong attendance requiredAbility to work independently and as part of a team
