Job description
Chop Saw OperatorIndustrial Chop Saw Operator Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hour, depending on experience Schedule: Day Shift | 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, Mon-Fri & some Saturdays Hours: Average of approximately 48 hours per week Location: Broken Arrow, OKWe are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Chop Saw Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for accurately measuring and cutting materials to production specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate will have previous saw or manufacturing experience, strong measurement skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and safely operate chop saws and related cutting equipment.Measure, mark, and cut materials to exact specifications.Accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16".Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, cut sheets, and work orders.Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for defects, accuracy, and quality.Verify dimensions before and after cutting to minimize scrap and material waste.Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.Change saw blades as needed and report equipment issues or malfunctions.Track production quantities, scrap, and material usage as required.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.Work closely with supervisors and production team members to meet daily production goals.RequirementsPrevious chop saw, industrial saw, machine operation, or manufacturing experience preferred.Must be proficient in reading a tape measure to 1/16".Ability to read and follow work orders, cut sheets, and production specifications.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, kneel, reach, sit, and perform other physical movements required in a manufacturing environment.Must be dependable and willing to work overtime and Saturdays when production demands require it.9-panel drug screen required.
