nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an SCA Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to join our team of qualified individuals within our Flight Operations organization. This position will be located at Ellsworth AFB, SD.
nPlease note that this opportunity is contingent on program funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.
nKey Responsibilities:
nnnPerforms scheduled maintenance and in-depth repair as required on aircraft ground support equipment.
n
nnReviews maintenance records of periodic maintenance to ensure equipment is fully operational in support of daily equipment requirements.
n
nnUses an assortment of basic hand tools in addition to precision measuring devices.
n
nnWorks from complex written instructions such as formal test specifications, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manuals.
n
nnMay instruct lower-level mechanics in technical aspects of Ground Support equipment work.
n
nnExercises appropriate safety measures.
n
nnProvides on-the-job training to customer personnel per customers’ needs.

n nBasic Qualifications:
nnnHigh School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years of related experience in civilian or military aviation support equipment
n
nnMust be able to travel up to 10% of the time
n
nnMust be willing to travel for training to various locations for initial training which will take 12 weeks minimum prior to relocating to the permanent location
n
nnMust be able and willing to work on an aircraft flightline year-round, across all three shifts and weekend duty
n
nnAbility to obtain Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) certification and enrollment within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company, and maintenance of same.
n
nnYour ability to obtain and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position prior to starting.

n nPreferred Qualifications :
nnUSAF or equivalent experience as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic

nPrimary Level Salary Range: $43.37 - $43.37
nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
