Responsibilities:

If you're someone who believes that early intervention can change the trajectory of a child's life, this role was built for you.

As a School-Based Behavioral Health Therapist with Health Connect America, you'll provide meaningful, evidence-based behavioral health services to young children ages 3 to 5 within early childhood education settings. You'll play a critical role in helping children build emotional, social, and behavioral skills during their most formative years while partnering closely with families, educators, and support teams to create lasting positive outcomes.

What You'll Do

As an Early Childhood School-Based Behavioral Health Therapist, you'll support children through compassionate, developmentally appropriate therapeutic services designed to strengthen functioning across school, home, and community environments. Day to day, you can expect to: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental needs of young children ages 3 to 5

Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based, play-based, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions

Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, educators, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support each child's success across environments

Support children with developmental disabilities, special needs, and behavioral health challenges by implementing individualized strategies that promote growth, regulation, and engagement

Coordinate care with families, healthcare providers, schools, and community partners while connecting families to resources and supports that strengthen long-term outcomes

Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and provide crisis intervention, consultation, and ongoing progress monitoring as needed

This is a school-based and community-focused role serving children within early childhood education programs throughout Spartanburg, South Carolina. This position requires a therapist who is passionate about early childhood mental health and understands the importance of addressing behavioral, social, emotional, and developmental concerns as early as possible. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or other special needs populations is highly valued.

Services continue throughout the year to ensure continuity of care for enrolled clients when school is not in session.
