Job description
Empower young learners and contribute to their success as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students in an educational setting near Kelso, WA. Desired Qualifications:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Experience working with school-aged children preferred
Valid state licensure to practice as a COTA
Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, parents, and administrators
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities: Carry out treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist, supporting students' academic and functional goals
Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students individually or in small groups
Assist with assessments and the collection of data for progress monitoring
Support implementation of sensory, fine motor, and adaptive activities in classroom routines
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to student planning
Communicate regularly with the therapy team to ensure continuity of care
