Job description
Are you passionate about supporting students in their academic journey? A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school environment near Murrieta, CA. In this role, you'll collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families to foster student independence and academic success while enjoying competitive hourly pay ranging from $35 to $45.
Key Qualifications:
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
Experience working with school-aged children, including those with special needs
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow treatment plans and document student progress
Team-oriented approach and eagerness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to creating encouraging, supportive learning environments
Responsibilities: Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OT
Support students in developing fine motor, self-care, and sensory processing skills
Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school procedures
Adapt activities and materials to support students' individual needs
Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and other support staff
Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality standards
Assist with assessment processes as needed
Participate in IEP meetings when appropriate
