Job description
Bring your passion for occupational therapy and make a difference in students' lives as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a supportive school environment near Port Orchard, WA. As a valued professional in this contract-based opportunity, you'll help empower young learners to achieve their fullest potential by providing essential therapeutic services within the educational setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Active Washington state licensure, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to adapt therapy strategies to individual student needs
Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress reporting is a plus
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans addressing students' functional, sensory, and motor abilities
Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-management skills necessary for educational success
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and other school staff to promote student progress and participation
Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and federal guidelines
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing goals and strategies

Compensation for this position ranges from $26.08 to $46.08. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here . This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
