Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, providing essential support for students from Pre-K through 12th grade across four local schools. You'll have the chance to work closely with a diverse group of 50-75 children each week, contributing to their academic experience and personal growth through impactful therapy.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credentials in New Mexico
NM State licensure and Education Certificate required
Experience or strong interest in school-based OT settings
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and families
Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, goal-oriented occupational therapy sessions individually or in small groups (30-60 minutes each)
Support students across a wide range of needs to maximize participation in academic and daily school activities
Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records
Collaborate with licensed OTs, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement IEP goals
Provide consultation and resources to faculty and parents for student success
Adapt interventions for different age groups, from Pre-K through 12th grade
Job Details: Contract position
Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
Monday through Friday, regular school hours
