Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an educational setting near Rancho Cordova, CA. This contract role offers the chance to work directly with a diverse K-12 caseload throughout the full school year under the guidance of a virtual occupational therapy supervisor.
Key Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with current COTA certification
Experience or interest in working with school-aged children (K-12)
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Ability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs
Comfortable working independently with remote supervision
Role Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as specified in IEPs and educational plans
Implement therapy strategies developed in collaboration with the virtual OT supervisor
Collect and document data on student progress, reporting findings as required
Participate in meetings with educational staff and families, providing input on student needs and goals
Assist in developing instructional materials and modifications to enhance accessibility and promote student success in the classroom
