Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success and development as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Key Qualifications:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Successful completion of an accredited COTA program
Previous experience in a school environment is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all age groups
Knowledge of therapy best practices and relevant state regulations
Ability to adapt interventions to different student needs and developmental levels
Willingness to collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and family members
Responsibilities: Deliver direct occupational therapy services as outlined in students' individualized education programs (IEPs)
Assist with the implementation and documentation of therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Observe, record, and report student progress and responses to interventions
Contribute to IEP development and attend relevant meetings as required
Support classroom staff in integrating therapeutic strategies into daily routines
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school procedures
Promote student independence in self-care, fine motor, and classroom participation
