Job description

Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license in the state of Tennessee
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
CPR and First Aid certification required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and healthcare teams
Flexibility, adaptability, and a student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessment to students and school staff
Manage chronic conditions, medication administration, and emergency care
Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies
Screen for and monitor communicable diseases and promote public health initiatives
Coordinate with teachers, counselors, and allied professionals to foster a safe environment
Educate students and families about wellness, nutrition, and healthy living
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and develop care plans as needed
