Job description
Deliver essential healthcare services in a dynamic school environment while making a meaningful difference for students and staff. This contract position is ideal for a Registered Nurse who thrives on providing high-quality care, managing student health plans, and collaborating with educators and families.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active RN license in California
Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly valued
Solid clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Adaptable, proactive, and able to address multiple health needs throughout the day
Key Responsibilities: Assess, triage, and care for student illnesses and injuries in accordance with best practices and state guidelines
Administer medications and implement individualized healthcare plans as directed by physicians and parents
Manage medical emergencies and collaborate with first responders as needed
Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings to support students with special healthcare requirements
Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and wellness initiatives
Maintain accurate health records, immunization documentation, and compliance with all regulatory standards
