Requirements and Desired Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware (or eligibility for reciprocity)
CPR/BLS certification required
Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is highly valued
Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student health needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
Proficiency in maintaining accurate, confidential records
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Key Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to students
Manage and document student health concerns, medications, and care plans
Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating with external providers as needed
Educate students and staff on health practices, wellness, and disease prevention
Collaborate with faculty, counselors, and parents to support academic success through student wellbeing
Participate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) when health needs are a factor
Uphold health regulations and district policies while promoting a safe, inclusive school culture
