Job description
Step into a rewarding school nursing role supporting a close-knit student population of about 100 as a General School Nurse. This contract position covers a maternity leave and is perfect for an experienced or motivated RN who values making a direct impact in a school environment.
You'll work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:35 am to 3:20 pm, beginning in December or January. The role is based in a specialized educational setting designed to foster wellness and learning for every student.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric/child health settings preferred
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency and routine situations
Strong communication and organizational skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Key Responsibilities: Deliver general and emergency nursing care to students and staff
Manage health records and medication administration in compliance with school and state regulations
Assess and respond to daily health needs, including chronic and acute conditions
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a safe and healthy learning environment
Develop and implement care plans for students as needed
Educate students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
