Job description

As a contract Registered Nurse serving student populations, you'll play a key role in promoting student health, safety, and wellness within an educational setting. Required qualifications and desired experience:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
Previous experience in pediatric, school, or public health nursing preferred
Current certifications in CPR/BLS
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel
Compassionate approach to student care and preventive health
Reliable, adaptable, and proactive in fast-paced environments
Key responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care and treatment to students according to their individual medical plans
Monitor and document student health concerns, communicating pertinent data to staff and guardians
Administer medications and first aid as needed throughout the school day
Support students with chronic health needs and acute incidents
Collaborate with educators, counselors, and district staff on health education and school wellness initiatives
Assist with screenings, immunization monitoring, and preventive care activities
Respond swiftly to health emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional presence
