Job description
Make a meaningful difference supporting students and families as a contract Social Worker within a dynamic school environment near Auburn, ME. Your expertise in providing social-emotional and behavioral support will be central to helping students reach their fullest potential and fostering a positive school community.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
Current state licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility to obtain
Previous experience in a school-based or youth-focused setting is highly valued
Strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
Exceptional ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators
Compassionate communicator, skilled in student advocacy and relationship-building
Key Responsibilities: Deliver group and individual counseling services addressing emotional, behavioral, and social issues
Develop and implement intervention strategies to improve classroom engagement and attendance
Conduct student assessments and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
Partner with educators, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments
Facilitate workshops or presentations on social-emotional topics for students, staff, and families
Connect students and families to community resources as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal standards
