Job description
Empower students to succeed as a dedicated part-time social worker serving a vibrant school community near Livonia, MI. Desired Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a Social Worker in Michigan
Previous experience working in a school environment preferred
Strong understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral needs of children and adolescents
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility and compassion when supporting students and their families
Key Responsibilities: Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing emotional, behavioral, and academic issues
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop intervention plans
Provide crisis intervention and support for students in need
Connect families with appropriate community resources and external agencies
Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress
Participate in IEP/504 meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
Promote social-emotional learning and contribute to anti-bullying and positive behavior initiatives
