Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic, school-based setting near Macungie, PA. This position serves the Bridge Program and is ideal for professionals passionate about making a meaningful difference in children's lives. You'll play a vital role as a School Counselor, School Social Worker, or School-Based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), offering emotional and social support to students who need it most.
This is a part-time role with the exciting potential to expand to full-time, with the assignment running through June 2027. Your work will directly impact students' growth, resilience, and academic experiences as you collaborate with educators and families.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Certification is required
Fully credentialed as a School Counselor, School Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to student challenges
Experience in a school, youth services, or counseling setting preferred
Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Timely and organized with exceptional communication abilities
What You'll Do: Deliver social-emotional support and interventions for individual students and small groups
Conduct assessments and implement strategies in collaboration with educational staff
Serve as an advocate and liaison among students, families, and educators
Develop, monitor, and document service plans to support student growth
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, solution-focused environment
Work Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM
