Job description
Make an impact in the lives of K-12 students as a school social worker in a vibrant Michigan special education district. Qualifications & Experience:
Active School Social Worker certification (310) required; please submit a copy with your application.
Experience working with K-12 students, especially in special education settings, highly valued.
Ability to work onsite throughout the assignment-remote work is not available.
If you do not currently hold a Michigan school social work certification, supervision must be arranged prior to interviewing.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are a must.
Passion for supporting students' academic, social, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive school social work services to K-12 students.
Collaborate with special education teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and facilitate interventions as needed.
Support teachers and staff with resources and strategies for student success.
Foster strong relationships with families and serve as a liaison between home and school.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district and state requirements.
