Job description
A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to support K-12 students for the school year, beginning September 21st and ending May 21st. Situated near Algoma, WI, this role offers a manageable caseload of 40-50 students and the convenience of working in a single school building. Your expertise will help foster communication skills and academic success for students across all grade levels.
Ideal candidates are comfortable in a school setting and are ready to work a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, aligning with regular school days.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Wisconsin SLP License (required)
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
ASHA Certification
Familiarity with school-based therapy models and IEP processes
Experience working with K-12 populations
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Previous experience in Wisconsin schools is highly valued
Role Responsibilities: Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals
Complete assessments, documentation, and progress monitoring efficiently and thoroughly
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student engagement and progress
Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state requirements
