Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an SLPA working 37.5 hours a week with a leading school-based team. As a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, your expertise will amplify the communication skills of students, build their confidence, and set them up for lifelong success. This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues until May 28, 2027, allowing you to establish meaningful relationships and see the impact of your work over several school years.
Key Qualifications:
Active SLPA license required
Prior experience in school settings preferred
Understanding of best practices in speech and language therapy for children
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to adapt to dynamic school environments
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy services under guidance of an SLP
Support student progress toward IEP goals through individual and group therapy
Adhere to established treatment plans, data-tracking, and documentation protocols
Collaborate with educators, other support staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
Monitor, document, and communicate student progress effectively
Assist with preparation of materials and maintenance of therapy equipment
