Job description
Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This position runs from August 11th through May 21st and offers the chance to make a significant impact across the academic year. Your expertise will be valued, and caseload preferences will be considered to ensure the best fit and optimal support for both you and the students.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active SLPA license in the state
Previous experience in school-based settings or working with children/adolescents preferred
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and other staff
Flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced school environment
Ability to follow written IEPs and clinical guidelines
Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
Implement therapy plans and document student progress
Assist with screenings, assessments, and preparation of therapy materials
Maintain accurate records and collaborate on IEP reporting as required
Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families
Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success
