Job description
Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Indianapolis, IN area. This contract position invites motivated SLPAs to make an impact in the lives of students, supporting their communication goals in a collaborative educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
Active SLPA credential in the state or eligibility for Indiana SLPA licensure
Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred, though recent graduates are welcome to apply
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage students, staff, and families
Ability to implement therapy plans under the supervision of a certified SLP
Flexibility, reliability, and enthusiasm for working in school environments
Primary Responsibilities: Carry out speech and language therapy activities as directed by supervising SLP
Support students' individual education plans (IEPs) by providing direct and indirect services
Record and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to contribute to student success
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
