Job description
Step into a dynamic school environment and contribute your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the coming school year. This contract opportunity, running from September through June (with the possibility of shorter-term coverage from September through November), is set within a supportive elementary setting with students from kindergarten through fifth grade. As part of a dedicated team, you'll help ignite communication skills and empower young learners each day.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Experience working with elementary-aged children (Kindergarten through Grade 5) is preferred
Skilled in conducting speech/language assessments and delivering individualized and group therapy
Strong communication and documentation abilities
What Your Days Will Look Like: Provide up to nine therapy sessions per day, addressing a diverse caseload and collaborating closely with teaching staff
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adapting to each student's needs
Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP processes as needed
Take advantage of two dedicated planning periods daily to prepare materials and document progress
Maintain clear, timely records and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional practice in a school-based setting
Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm, allowing for work-life balance and meaningful student engagement. You'll find this role both rewarding and impactful as you help students reach their potential.
