Job description
Step into a meaningful role serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a contract opportunity available for the school year. This engaging position offers the unique chance to make a difference both within a dynamic school environment and by supporting students who are medically homebound. Flexibility is key, as the position can be structured as either full-time or part-time to suit your needs, with a weekly commitment of up to 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday.
What you'll bring:
Current Delaware SLP license (required at time of application)
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
Experience delivering SLP services in school settings, including assessments and IEP development
Comfort working with diverse student populations, including those with medical needs
Willingness to provide therapy both onsite and to homebound students as needed
Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Key responsibilities: Deliver speech and language therapy services to students as part of their educational programming
Provide direct support to homebound students, ensuring continuity and quality of care
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers
Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet students' individual needs in both school and home-based settings
Maintain comprehensive records and progress reports in accordance with district policies
Flexibly respond to fluctuating caseloads throughout the academic year
