Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving a diverse school-based caseload near Bremerton, WA. This role opens in late August, with potential training a week prior to the district's start date, and continues through mid-June (with possible extension for snow make-up days). You'll work closely with a caseload of approximately 50 students ranging in age from preschool to 22 years, providing services at a to-be-determined site within the district.
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs.
Conduct evaluations, write comprehensive reports, and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster student growth.
Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in compliance with state and district guidelines.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning.
Flexibly adapt to an assigned site, with the opportunity to serve a varied student population.
What We're Looking For: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
Washington SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; new graduates (CFs) welcome to apply.
Prior experience in school-based settings highly valued.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently.
