Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language services within a supportive school environment near Concord, CA! As a dedicated speech-language pathologist, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing communication, language development, and academic participation for students across various age groups. This is a fully onsite position-collaborate face-to-face with students, staff, and families, making a direct impact every day.
Ideal candidates hold current ASHA certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence - CCC), or are completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Unfortunately, SLPA roles are not being considered at this time.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid state licensure for speech pathology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for CFY supervision
Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Passion for helping students reach their fullest potential
Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
Deliver direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
Collaborate with teachers, other specialists, and families to support student progress
Maintain detailed progress reports and compliance with educational standards
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
Provide strategies and resources to educators and caregivers
