Job description
Exciting opportunity available for a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist to make a genuine impact in a supportive learning community for the school year. This full-time, in-person contract position is based within a K-12 district in the Oakridge area, serving multiple buildings, with a caseload comprised primarily of high school and elementary students. The assignment is known for its supportive environment, and the student population is considered low-behavior, providing a positive setting for focused and rewarding work.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active SLP licensure in Oregon
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
Demonstrated experience or interest in serving both elementary and high school populations
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Previous school-based SLP experience is highly preferred
Ability to work independently in an in-person setting (no virtual/hybrid options)
Must provide a professional reference sheet with application
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a K-12 student caseload
Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Participate in IEP meetings and school-based teams
