Job description
A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for a contract placement in a supportive school setting near Elizabeth City, NC. This position covers the full academic year and is open to both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). The selected SLP will play a vital role in helping students reach their communication goals while collaborating closely with educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid state licensure and certification for North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
CFY candidates, as well as experienced CCC-SLPs, are encouraged to apply
Strong organizational and communication skills for effective documentation and family engagement
Ability to handle a caseload of approximately 50-60 students across various age groups and needs
Role Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
Deliver therapy sessions in both individual and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate that fosters student growth
