Job description
Enhance student communication skills and make a meaningful difference throughout the 2026/2027 school year as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist on a contract basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work 35 hours per week in a supportive school environment near High Point, NC, helping learners achieve their full potential through effective speech and language intervention.
Required Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Current or eligible North Carolina SLP license
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
Previous school-based experience with IEPs and caseload management is desirable
Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Compassionate, collaborative, and adaptable approach in educational settings
Primary Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student goals
Maintain precise records of student progress and intervention outcomes
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development
Empower students to improve communication, social skills, and classroom participation
