Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity focused on making a difference in the lives of young learners. This full-time contract role centers on providing speech-language services to preschool and kindergarten students, including those participating in an Autism program and inclusive classroom settings. The assignment is a maternity leave coverage, beginning mid-November and ending in early March, with no students during the week of Thanksgiving.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY)
Prior school-based experience, especially with early childhood and Autism programs, is highly valued
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
Strong communication and organizational skills
Commitment to evidence-based, individualized interventions
Must be available for in-person work at a campus near Odessa, DE
Primary Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy to preschool and kindergarten students in both self-contained and inclusive settings
Support students with a range of communication needs, with emphasis on those in the Autism program
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Work closely with teachers, special educators, and other school professionals to ensure consistent support
Monitor student progress, complete documentation, and participate in team meetings
Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and progress
