Job description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity to support students' communication skills for the academic year. This contract position offers the chance to provide impactful speech-language services within a school setting near Round Mountain, CA. Flexible scheduling is possible within the school hours of 8:00 am-3:15 pm, with elementary schools dismissing earlier.
This role is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) with CCC or CFY credentials, as well as experienced SLPAs interested in working primarily with elementary students under the supervision of a credentialed SLP. The manageable caseload consists of approximately 15-20 students spanning grades Pre-K through 12th, allowing for meaningful engagement and individualized support.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA)
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative work with staff and families
Ability to adapt therapy goals and strategies to meet unique student needs
SLPA candidates must be able to work under supervision of a credentialed SLP
Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
Develop and implement IEP goals and appropriate interventions
Deliver engaging therapy sessions individually or in small groups
Maintain accurate records and student progress reports
Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as an active team member
