Job description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing top-tier speech and language support in a dynamic school environment near Warwick, RI. As a contract Speech Language Pathologist, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
Previous experience in a school setting highly desirable
Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt therapy to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for speech and language services
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, voice, fluency, and/or swallowing disorders
Participate as a vital member of the multidisciplinary team for IEP meetings and progress reporting
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy techniques into the classroom
Communicate regularly with families, providing updates and recommendations for at-home reinforcement
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions based on students' needs
