Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This full-time position is designed to provide specialized services across elementary education classrooms, primarily focusing on articulation and fluency needs. You will cover a leave from early September through late November, with the possibility of extension. The role is based in an engaging educational setting near the Rochester, NY area, allowing you to make a significant difference during a formative stage in students' development.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid state licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility)
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
Strong foundation in supporting articulation and fluency interventions
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Adaptability to work full-time across various education classrooms at the elementary level
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary students, focusing on articulation and fluency goals
Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to provide integrated educational and therapeutic services
Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Maintain thorough and timely progress reports and documentation
Communicate effectively with families and provide resources as needed to support student success
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive environment
