Job description
PRN Substitute CNA Classroom Assistant
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs.
This is a classroom assistant position with some nursing-related responsibilities. The CNA will work alongside school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
Assist students with feedings by mouth.
Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
Support students with daily activities in the classroom.
Follow each student's established care plan and safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other school staff.
Maintain students' dignity, safety, and privacy.
Qualifications Current CNA certification in good standing.
Current CPR certification.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility, and transfer assistance.
Compassionate, dependable, patient, and able to work effectively in a classroom environment.
Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.
Position Details $21.00 to $23.00 an hr. DOE
