Job description
An exciting opportunity has just opened up for a full-time contract Counselor near Charleston, SC! As a dedicated onsite professional, you will have the important role of providing confidential, one-on-one counseling for a student in a supportive educational environment. Your expertise will directly impact the well-being and academic success of the student you serve.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience as a school counselor, or in a similar counseling position
Strong background in supporting students' emotional and mental health needs
Able to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality and professional ethics
Excellent communication and listening skills
Current counseling certification or ability to qualify for certification as required
Comfortable working onsite in a school setting
What You'll Do: Deliver confidential, individualized counseling to support the unique needs of a specific student
Develop and implement strategies to help the student with emotional and social issues
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families as needed to maximize student success
Maintain accurate documentation of counseling sessions and progress
Uphold best practices and ethical standards at all times
