Job description
Make a meaningful difference in student lives by providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) across multiple school sites. This contract position offers the chance to work with diverse EC-Transition students, delivering critical counseling support that fosters academic and emotional success. Assignments are on-site only and span the full school year from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, with 35 hours per week. You'll serve as a vital member of itinerant support teams, with up to three schools needing your expertise districtwide.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
Proficiency in Spanish and English (Bilingual Spanish speakers only; non-negotiable)
Active and valid California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registration or license number (check here: )
Accepted license/registration: LPCC, LMFT, LCSW or AMFT, APCC, ASW associates working toward full licensure (cost of required supervision is handled separately)
Master's or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
At least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (for fully licensed candidates); associates must be accumulating hours under supervision
Live Scan fingerprinting (background check) required
Must provide two completed supervisor references
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver ERMHS counseling in individual and group settings, supporting EC-Transition students' mental health and success
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to assess student needs and develop strategies or interventions
Maintain accurate records, session notes, and progress updates as required by district and state regulations
Travel between assigned schools as an itinerant provider
