Step into a vital role supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth at the elementary level. This full-time contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027. You'll contribute to a positive learning environment by providing essential counseling services and collaborating closely with educators and families.

Qualifications:

Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Completion of a state-approved counselor preparation program

Eligibility to obtain the required Virginia license or endorsement as mandated by the district

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics

Key Responsibilities: Provide academic, career, and social-emotional counseling to students

Assess and monitor student needs and ongoing progress

Consult regularly with families, teachers, and other school staff to support student success

Facilitate referrals as needed for specialized services

Maintain accurate student records and uphold all confidentiality protocols

This assignment offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, giving you the opportunity to make a sustained impact through individualized and group counseling.
