Qualifications and Credentials:
Valid School Counselor License (SCL) or Preliminary School Counselor License (PSCL)
Previous experience as a school counselor or related role, preferably within a K-12 setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support students, families, and staff
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Commitment to ethical practice following district and state guidelines
Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to address students' academic, career, social, and emotional needs
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and overcome student challenges
Develop and implement proactive guidance initiatives and social-emotional learning programs
Assist with crisis intervention and create tailored action plans to support student well-being
Maintain detailed documentation and case records in accordance with regulatory compliance
Guide students in course selection, career readiness, and post-secondary planning
Participate in faculty meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
