Maintenance WorkerThe Dwight School, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is seeking a part-time or full-time Custodian.Days: Monday - Friday (Evenings and Weekends at times if/when needed)Hours: Determined based on availability and the needs of the schoolResponsibilities of Position:Must report to assigned shift on timeMust be in appropriate work attire as defined by supervisorMust be able to follow direction and communicate with supervisor to ensure daily needs of the facility are metMust be able to follow a written schedule of eventsMust perform hygienic cleaning of bathrooms, locker rooms and designated lunchroomMust maintain the cleanliness of entire facility to the standards of manager on dutyMust be able to carry trash to proper disposal siteMust be able to work outdoors if neededMust be able to complete set up of tables and chairs and sporting events as neededMust be willing to learn how to operate all mechanical equipment and report irregularitiesMust maintain a professional relationship with all students, faculty, staff, visitors and related community of the schoolMust be able to respond to emergency's as directedMust be aware and assist will all facility emergency procedures and assist in securing the facilityRequirements of Position:Proven maintenance experienceHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) requiredAbility to maintain focus while working individuallyS-95 Fireguard License a PLUSCompensation commensurate upon experience: Starting rate $20-25 per hourDwight School's goal is to achieve and maintain equal employment opportunities.
