nNOTICE OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY
nPosition Title: School Nurse (Internal and External)
nBrief Description: Maintain acceptable health standards and provide emergency treatment for students and employees. Conduct public health screenings, coordination with healthcare providers and communicable disease control. Prepare and maintain student health records.

nnDesire and capability to work with children from 3 years old to 21 years old;

nnAbility to work independently; make critical medical/clinical decisions (within bounds of nursing license); ability to understand and interpret complex written and verbal instructions; meticulous attention to detail; impeccable professional credentials; exceptional level of professionalism and positive attitude.

nnMust be eligible for appointment as a Registered Professional Nurse by Civil Service. (

n nCivil Service Requirements:
nnnGraduation from a school of nursing approved by the State Education Department from a course approved by such department as qualifying for Registered Professional Nurse.
n
nnCandidates must possess a license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse at the time of appointment and must maintain said license for the duration of employment.
